

Once every race was won as one character, the next one would be unlocked, and so forth. Unlike previous Cars games, Cars: Fast as Lightning used an orderly unlocking system. When a player's car drove over a blue circle on a track, it provided the player with a short boost if the screen was tapped while on one.
